Celebrating our 24th Anniversary with the Award of SME Foundation of the Year

It’s our 24th Anniversary

Dear reader ,

I am thrilled to share a double dose of good news!

First, FATE Foundation recently celebrated its 24th anniversary as Nigeria's leading business incubator! Founded in 2000 by Mr Fola Adeola with a resolute mission to foster wealth creation by promoting business and entrepreneurial development amongst Nigerians, we've proudly served over 1 million aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs across all Nigerian states through our three Divisions: The FATE School, The FATE Institute, and The FATE Giving.

Our reach has also expanded to Kenya and South Africa last year, solidifying our pan-African commitment. Through the publication of over 27 research reports on the Nigerian MSME ecosystem, we've built strong thought leadership in this space. These reports provide valuable insights and data for policymakers, stakeholders, and aspiring entrepreneurs alike.

Adding to the celebratory spirit, last week, we were honored with the prestigious 2024 SME Support Foundation of the Year award by the Association of Small Business Owners of Nigeria. This recognition serves as a tremendous validation of our dedication to empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs and reinforces our commitment to keep propelling the growth of the nation's business landscape.

As we embark on our 25th year, we celebrate the unwavering spirit of Nigerian entrepreneurs who remain the bedrock of our economies, driving innovation, job creation, and overall economic growth.  Your passion and dedication is truly the inspiration for our work, investments and commitment. We are also incredibly grateful to the over 1,330 dedicated volunteers who have supported our work as teachers, mentors, and advisors. Your invaluable expertise and guidance have been instrumental in empowering countless entrepreneurs.

Stay tuned for more exciting news about our future endeavors, including the unveiling of our new 5-year strategy focused on investing in high-growth potential SMEs and innovative technologies for significant economic impact. In the meantime, I invite you to our newly launched online courses and also the Induction Ceremony for our 2024 – 2026 Research Fellows happening this Friday.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to building a brighter entrepreneurial future together!

Regards,

Adenike Adeyemi
