FATE VOLUNTEER EVENTS AND SPOTLIGHTS - January 2024

 

Dear reader ,

Happy New Year once again; we thank you for your unwavering support in 2023, which has been instrumental in fostering a thriving ecosystem for entrepreneurs. This year promises to be outstanding, and we are thrilled to have you, our esteemed volunteers, walk through 2024 with us.

In this newsletter, we have in-store highlights of our 2023 annual FATE graduation ceremony, volunteer networking event, testimonials from our volunteers and alumni, and birthday celebrants' spotlights. We also have information on our upcoming FATE business outlook and alumni general meeting happening this year.

Annual FATE Grduation Ceremony

With your support, we reached 6380 entrepreneurs in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. We graduated 775 entrepreneurs from our flagship programmes. In Nigeria, we reached all 36 states + FCT Abuja. Additionally, 494 entrepreneurs were successfully connected with mentors, and 769 received essential business consulting services.

Highlights of the graduation ceremony were the presentation of Awards to the outstanding volunteers for the year;

Olufemi Omotayo, Policy Consultant, Halogen Security – 2023 Mentor of the Year

Temitayo Adewole, Founder, Temitayo Adewole Coaching & Consulting – 2023 Advisor of the Year

Chukwuemeka Ayogu, Founder, Countsystem Enterprise – 2023 Content Contributor of the Year

Annual Volunteer Networking and Cocktail Event

We designed a special event on the 13th of December, 2023 to celebrate our volunteers specially for the work that they do with us. The event provided networking opportunities for our volunteers. The event kicked off with an opening remark from Adebambo Adebowale, the Director of The FATE School, followed by a compelling keynote speech by Olufunto Igun, awardee of the volunteer of the year category, spoke about her passion for volunteering and charged volunteers to continue in their commitment to support entrepreneurs with their business goals. Testimonies of the entrepreneurs were shared and vote of thanks delivered by the Executive Director of FATE Foundation. Click here to access the event photos.

UPCOMING EVENTS IN 2024

February 2024 Update.

FATE BUSINESS OUTLOOK & ALUMNI GENERAL MEETING

The FATE School will be holding The Business Outlook & Alumni General meeting themed, “THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE OPPORTUNITIES”  which is scheduled to hold on Saturday 17th, February, 2024 at 9am. The event is a platform for entrepreneurs from our alumni community to gain knowledge and practical insights on developing/reviewing their annual corporate strategy, market strategy, revenue, and operating model plans from experts and professionals in the Business and Economy Arena.

Panelist at the event includes, Joke Silva (MFR), Chairman Board of Trustees for Centre of Contemporary Arts (CCA Lagos). An alumnus of FATE and an award-winning veteran actress, producer, director, and acting coach. Adeola Balogun, Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Limlim Foods Production Company Ltd.
