Highlights From FATE Foundation's 4th Alumni Conference

Dear  ,FATE Foundation would like to thank you for being a huge part of the success of our 4th Alumni Conference. The Conference ended on a high note on the 25th of September with the attendance of His excellency the Deputy Governor of Lagos State and keynote addresses from Mr Nnamdi Ezeigbo and Dr.Omobola Johnson.Scroll down to see pictures, watch videos and download presentations from the event.

 Registration 

Doors opened at 8:00 am and we welcomed our Alumni who graced us with their presence from all across Nigeria.

Welcome Address

Adenike Adeyemi, Executive Director FATE Foundation giving the opening address. 

Opening Remarks 

Mrs Toyin Bakare (EEP 8), CEO, SAS Textiles and Chairman, Annual Alumni Planning Committee officially declaring the Conference open. 

Keynote Address "Innovating for Scale" 

Our keynote speaker, Mr. Nnamdi Eziegbo, CEO SLOT System giving the keynote address. He took us through his entrepreneurial journey and gave advice to entrepreneurs on "how to Innovate to scale".

Interactive Question and Answer Session

The session was moderated by Mrs Bolaji Osime CEO, Global International College (EEP 2). 

Announcement of  Nominees for 2019 FAME Award

The nominees for the 2019 FAME Award were announced during the Conference. The winner of this award will be revealed during FATE's Annual Celebration scheduled to hold in December. Make Sure you Vote! 

Special Address by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State 

His Excellency Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State gave a special address at the Conference. He gave 4 tips to FATE Entrepreneurs. They are as follows:

  1. We need to fix the family first for the society to function well.

  2. Businesses have to be well structured to run properly.

  3. Everyone should run their businesses with integrity.

  4. Business Planning is essential for businesses to grow and scale.

Masterclass Sessions

2nd Keynote Address  

Our Special Guest of Honour Dr Omobola Johnson; Senior Partner, TLcom Capital LLP giving the second keynote address at the Conference. In her address, she advised entrepreneurs to imitate the approach of Tech Startups when sourcing for Investors, as most Tech Startups tend to plan for scale.

This session was moderated by Mr Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata(CFA) Co-founder, GoDoHub.org (AEP 33). 

Inauguration of the Alumni Association Committee

The Executives for the Alumni Association were announced

Closing Remarks

The Chairman, Alumni Conference planning committee, Toyin Bakare; CEO, SAS Textiles giving a vote of thanks to everyone for attending the Conference. She shared her personal story of Scaling her business after attending the EEP program at FATE Foundation and advised entrepreneurs in the room to take the lessons to heart and practice what they had learned.
