We are glad to share highlights of the Cohort 3 Orange Corners Innovation Business Pitch Competition.  have emerged first to fifth place winners at the Innovation Business Pitch Competition.The Entrepreneurs now have access to a EUR135,000 start-up capital (75% grant and 25% loan) provided by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.  

The virtual pitch competition which held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 marks the end of Cohort 3 of the 6-month Orange Corners Nigeria Business Incubation programme. We wish all Cohort 3 entrepreneurs the very best and will continue to follow their progress closely.

Orange Corners Innovation Business Pitch Expert Jury 

Assessing the businesses and deciding the winners of the Innovation Start-up Fund is the responsibility of the expert Jury.The Jury for the Cohort 3 Business pitch were the following; Tim Spaans; Deputy Programme Manager, Orange Corners,  Oge Nnaife; Head, startups and Youth Enterprise, FATE Foundation and Ojeawe Ajulo; CSR and Sustainability Manager, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Plc.

Message from the Netherlands Consulate General, Lagos 

The Deputy Consul Economic Affairs; Netherlands Consulate General, Abel Neering was at the event and congratulated the entrepreneurs. Excerpts from his congratulatory message can be found below.

The facilitation of entrepreneurship is therefore crucial to solve tomorrow and today’s challenges and achieve the SDGs.Before the holiday break, I was actually attending the Nigeria digital economy conference organised by the US Chamber of commmerce and Orange Corners Alumni, the Edtech company Afrilearn participated in this digital entrepreneurship competition and they won. 2021 Orange Corners Nigeria Incubation Programme 

2 cohorts (cohort 4 and 5) of the 6-month Incubation programme is set to run this year from February to July and July to December, 2021. The programme is open to aspiring innovative entrepreneurs resident in Lagos, Nigeria. Entrepreneurs between ages 18 and 35 with innovative and sustainable solutions that have significant economic and social impact particularly in the Circular Economy, Agribusiness, Health, Education and Creative sectors are encouraged to apply.  Application for Cohort 4 closes today Tuesday January 26, 2021.Since inception in July 2019, we have successful supported 60 entrepreneurs and provided funding valued over ₦180,000,000 (One hundred and eighty million naira).Our entrepreneurs have developed prototypes, tested pilots and launched socially impactful and economically viable solutions to the Nigerian Market.Click on the video below to see Titilayo Medunoye; Founder of
