Meet The Speakers of the 4th Alumni Conference, 2019

The FATE Foundation Annual Alumni Conference serves as a yearly learning and engagement forum for Nigerian entrepreneurs to learn from entrepreneurial leaders and experts through a masterclass and workshop-style sessions while also providing excellent networking and market access opportunities.  This year’s theme is “INNOVATING FOR SCALE”. With a powerful line up of speakers and panelists, the conversations for this year’s conference will focus on how to adapt innovation into our operating and business models on our journey as entrepreneurs to achieve growth and scale.  KEYNOTE SESSIONS    Mr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, Founder/CEO of SLOT Systems Limited will share from his experience on how he has built his business to its current scale by keeping it innovation-driven. He will thereafter be answering questions from the audience, which will be moderated by Bolaji Osime, CEO, Global International College.  Dr. Omobola Johnson, Senior Partner at TLcom Capital LLP will also share from her experience on the theme, especially through Digital and Technological Transformation” followed by a moderated Q&A session.       Inspiration for Innovation: This session will focus on the need to be innovative even in conventional business and professional areas to pave the way in our constantly changing world. Dr. Ola Brown (Founder, Flying Doctors) will share her perspective on innovating to improve medical care, Ayoola Olajiga (Founder & CEO, FoodPro) will give his perspective on innovation in agriculture, and Wiebe Boer (CEO, All On) will share his views on innovation opportunities in the renewable energy sector. Oluyemisi Obe, Founder & CEO, Prothrive Astute Heights Ltd will moderate the session.    Health is Wealth: Looking at the importance of health and wellness to entrepreneurs and business owners but also opportunities that exist in the broad spectrum of healthcare provision as a business. Uduak Igbeka (Coordinator - Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, GAIN) and Dr. Olufemi Omololu (Co-Founder, PeachCare Medical Centre). The session will be moderated for a Q&A. 

    Systems and Structures for Scale: Focusing on the operating models, systems, and structures that businesses should be built on to attain the required level of scale. Olanrewaju Odufuwa (Team Lead, Growth Board - Primary Markets, Nigerian Stock Exchange), and a Partner from Banwo & Ighodalo will give insights on building businesses around systems and structures to catalyze them to scale. The Q&A session will be moderated by Perita Kimeng, Executive Director, StreSERT Services.    Funding for Scale: Felix Ezeh (Investment Executive, GroFin Nigeria), Folabi Esan (Partner, Adlevo Capital) and Tosin Faniro-Dada (Head, Startups - Lagos Innovates, Lagos State Employment Trust Fund) will be shedding light on the opportunities that can be explored to acquire necessary funds needed to scale businesses, and the necessary requirements to access the funds. Adebowale Adetola, CEO, Wapa Apparel will moderate the Q&A of this session.  Other highlights to be expected at the conference include:   FATE Alumni Model Entrepreneur (FAME) Award presentation: to a FATE alumni member who has built a sustainable business and has inspired and supported younger entrepreneurs through FATE Foundation and beyond.   Networking and Community Building: participants will get to interact with one another and meet key potential partners/stakeholders in their entrepreneurial sector. 

   Exhibition and Market Access: where some alumni members will showcase their products and services to attendees.   Consulting Bar Stands: for free advice in HR, Funding, Digital Marketing Strategy, Accounting, etc.    FATE Alumni Executive Committee: announcement of the elected alumni members that will manage the affairs of the FATE Foundation’s alumni body.   Raffle Draws: with prizes to be drawn for attending alumni members.  This year’s carefully-created selection of speakers and conversation areas promises to be enlightening and far too engaging to miss.  Registration Details are as follows:  Early bird: N10,000 (till August 31st, 2019) Table for 10: N80,000  Regular fee: N15,000 (from September 1st - 24th, 2019)
