Announcing the Winners of the Orange Corners Innovation Fund

Titilayo Medunoye, founder of Milky Express, Jide Ayegbusi, founder of  Edusko, Isaac Oladipupo, founder of Afrilearn, Victor Emaye, founder of Medipal Health Care and Kenneth Okonkwo, founder of IrriTech Services have emerged winners of stream 2 of the Orange Corners Innovation Fund through which we have disbursed over 25,000,000 NGN (Twenty- Five Million Naira) to date.The Orange Corners Nigeria Business Pitch Competition to determine the winners of the Innovation Fund took a different turn this time with the Incubatees sending their videos and pitch decks to the Jury before the pitch day.The pitch took place virtually on June 25, 2020. Expert Jury, Tim Spaans; Deputy Programme Manager, Orange Corners, Pradeep Pahalwani; Managing Director, Securisk Brokers, Temitope Onitiri; Partner Audit/CM, KPMG, Nigeria had a Question and Answer session with the Incubatees, after which they determined the winners of the Orange corners Innovation Fund, a start-up fund of 135,000 EUR (One Hundred and Thirty-five Thousand Euros) at a ratio of 75% grant and 25% loan to be distributed amongst the winners.Special thanks to the Netherlands Embassy in Lagos for the continued support all through the Incubation Programme. We congratulate the 5 winners of the Innovation fund and all the Incubatees for remaining committed and driven to develop their businesses despite numerous challenges.To watch the video pitches of the Cohort 2 Incubatees, click HERE.

The 6-month incubation programme for Cohort 2 is rounding up and we are pleased to share the journey with you through the lense of the Incubatees. During the Incubation period, the entrepreneurs developed their ideas, collaborated and made solid social impact. The Third Cohort of the 6-month Incubation programme is set to run virtually from July-December, 2020. The programme is open to Aspiring Entrepreneurs resident in Lagos State, between the ages of 18 and 35 with innovative and sustainable solutions that have a significant economic and social impact particularly in the Circular Economy, Agribusiness, Health, Education and Creative sectors.
